Multiple layers of orange, violet and chartreuse slips are painted on then sanded back through resulting in a rich modeled surface (and a slightly more expensive mug;)

Inspired by the weathered, painted old buildings here in Helena, MT. Violet Interior and foot well, Lip, handle and foot are a silky slate green/grey. Pre and Post firing sanding results in a modeled finish that feels smooth in the hand, like a weathered river stone. 3.25 in. tall, 13 oz.
