Although subtle, this dinner plate does give a shit.

Clear glaze seals over the crackle slip, resulting in a fully functional plate. Abraded orange and green slip at the rim, Violet at the foot well. The network of “cracked mud” fissures reveal the seemingly abstract pattern that upon closer inspection expresses a sentiment spoken a bit too often in the clay studio. Approx. 11 in. accross.

All of my work that features crackle slip is priced a bit higher than other pieces… it requires extra steps, and an extra firing. There is also substantial time involved with creating the imagery. Plates are wheel thrown and trimmed

Food, dishwasher and microwave safe …

*Although rare, heating in microwave for long periods may result in uneven temps and result in cracking. 20-30 seconds to reheat your sticky bun is totally fine, though I wouldn't recommend using this plate to "cook" food in a microwave.
